James Andrew Ho, O.D. attended The University of Alabama for his undergraduate degree. He graduated summa cum laude while participating on the University of Alabama’s rowing team. Dr. Ho earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Upon graduation, Dr. Ho was the recipient of the Vision America Co-Management Award, demonstrating proficiency in providing co-management care.
Dr. Ho then completed primary care and ocular disease residency at Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico providing medical optometry to the Navajo Nation in a multi-specialty hospital. He served as the on-call eye provider for a level III trauma center during his residency, providing him with extensive experience with complex cases, ocular emergencies, and trauma.
This experience allowed him to excel in delivering high-quality care in a multidisciplinary setting with a focus on systemic care such as diabetes/hypertension and autoimmune diseases. Dr. Ho is board certified to treat glaucoma and ocular diseases. Prior to relocating to Las Vegas, Dr. Ho was in a high volume surgical practice managing pre and post-operative surgical care including glaucoma, cataract, and refractive surgeries in the southeast.
In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors with his dogs, sports, running, swimming, volunteering, cooking, and traveling.
