Joyce Cassen, M.D. attended Case Western Reserve University, obtaining her BA in Chemistry, a Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology along with her MD. She completed her post-graduate training at University Hospitals of Cleveland and began her ophthalmology career with the Cleveland Clinic. In 1985 Dr. Cassen began working at the Aina Hana Eye Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she has practiced for the past 32 years. Dr. Cassen is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Cassen enjoys spending time with her family, so it was only natural that with the recent birth of her first granddaughter, she decided to make the move back to Las Vegas.
In her spare time, Dr. Cassen enjoys swimming, hiking, and being outdoors. She’s a huge sports fan (both collegiate and professional), and enjoys watching football, basketball, volleyball, and baseball.
