This blog is meant to enhance the content already found here on the website by elaborating on the services provided by Shepherd Eye Center, while also having a space to share the latest news in ophthalmology and anything related to eyes and vision.
As we enter 2017, we look back at the successes of the practice in 2016 and it’s abundantly clear that we couldn’t have done it without all of you–our valued patients.
- You may have noticed the faces of Shepherd Eye Center doctors on the sides of Las Vegas buses.
- Dr. Emily Fant was recognized as one of the “Top Docs 2016” by Vegas Seven magazine.
- As a long-time Vegas business Shepherd Eye Center contributed content to Nevada Business Magazine’s 30th anniversary issue.
- A handful of employees celebrated their 10th anniversary with Shepherd, one celebrated 25 years with the practice and we had 2 employees retire.
- Staff and doctors from Shepherd volunteered in their 3rd Calvary Chapel Blessfest on Thanksgiving day, and were able to see 150 individuals.
- Dr. Brad Stewart, OD joined us full-time after working part-time with us for the past year.
- Drs. Tina and Ravi Reddy along with their sons and some Shepherd staff provided vision services in the Dominican Republic for the second time.
- Diane, Shepherd optician, shined light on the subject of polarized vs. tinted sunglasses for readers of the Review Journal.
- Dr. Miller shared his beautiful images through a 2016 fundraiser calendar benefiting the Blind Center, and Dr. Miller graciously agreed to put together a 2017 calendar (now available for sale).
- The first all-staff photo since 1999 was taken in June.
- Shepherd Eye Center was the cover story in the May/June issue of Ophthalmic Professional magazine.
- The winter issue of Vegas Inc. magazine featured an important story about Adult Strabismus, and how Dr. Adam Rovit is helping these patients.
- Shepherd Eye Center was voted runner-up in the Best of Las Vegas 2016 for Eye Care services.
